Guys I dont know of you have seen this. I made a mould set for Weatherman 6 and 7 - actually .29 too I suppose. These will be available from Ian Russell a bit later when I have found time to lay some up. Light and strong, the design is true to the original and scaled up exactly correctly. It uses changeable engine pates so in theory you could fly all three classes on the same day with the same model - if you could handle the hassle that is.

Guys I will be making a batch soon so please contact Ian if you are in UK and want one, or me if you are in the antipodes or elsewhere.

Note I will also be making a blow by blow building sequence in horrible Technicolor for those of us who don't have so much experience with Glass fuses etc.

As I will be using the full gamut of techniques I have developed, that could possibly be interesting to those who have asked me a lot of questions as to how I make my toys.

Hi Gents,

Got a bit of a problem:

After using epoxy of various types for the largest part of my life, I have suddenly developed an aggressive allergy.  Why this should suddenly happen is not known, but apparently is not uncommon.

How it manifests itself in my case is by sudden hoarseness and later a sore throat, plus red slightly swelled patches on my skin. I seem to be OK for a short while of use if I wear a good mask and some high end surgical gloves, but really not longer than 15 minutes, and that’s far too short for what I wanted to do.

Anyway, the upshot is that after developing the plugs and carefully making the moulds for the Weatherman Speedster fuses, I am no longer able to make them (!) So far, I had only made one fuselage to prove the mould – which incidentally worked very well, so that’s all I have.

So, the question is: Would one of you, young, enterprising, enthusiastic, non-allergic Gents like to take over? I’d be happy to send the moulds FOC to anyone who thinks they could make up a few parts.

Please let me know if any of you wherever located would be interested.

Cheers,

James Hammond.
