12 class

There is good news regarding the 12 class trainer kits, the models have been shipped from France by Matthieu Perret, they will arrive in the UK shortly and will then be distributed to the customers who ordered them. It will be very interesting to see these models and hopefully, some fliers will have these ready for the Spring speed training day.

Italian World Cup meeting F2

We had been waiting for news of this meeting which will be for F2A, F2B, F2D, F2G and will also have Italian rules Sport Jet, the meeting is being held at Mortegliano which is near Udine in the North East of Italy.

In F2A there is already tough competition with current World Champion Alex Valishev making his way over from the USA, along with fellow countryman Bill Hughes to compete against strong local opposition.

There are UK entries in F2A and Sport Jet along with F2D combat fliers, it should be a good meeting, all details can be found at the link below.

Obituaries section

I guess in some ways this is a news section with mixed emotions, however we feel it is important to recognise the lives of modellers who have followed the sport with a passion. Therefore to keep the obituaries accessible that we have already written it has been decided to bring these into one section to save them being scattered through news posts on this website.

So it is with regret that we have to tell you of the passing of Alberto Dalloglio. Alberto Dalloglio might not be a name that springs to mind when thinking of performance engines and CL speed but he was a quite guy who built and sold in limited number some beautiful engines.

About Barrie Lever

I am a committed competition modeller, flying RC pylon since 1978 and additionally control line since 2017, although I had held a latent interest in CL speed for decades. I like to make as much of my competition models myself as is possible, this often involves teaming up with other like minded competitors to share the workload.
