Control Line speed kits, pulse jets and accessories available online

By | March 20, 2021

One factor that can limit the continuation of an event such as control line speed is the lack of availability of engines, kits and hardware for the event. There were of course times in the past where some parts and certainly engines from the likes of Irvine, OS, K&B, OPS and Super Tigre to name a few were available on the shelf or at least to order in most model shops in the UK.

Inevitably as competition events become more specialised and insular, then this supply disappears and becomes an almost clandestine affair, a lot of us recognise this but what can we do about it?

For some time Dick Hart has had a huge range of control line speed items available particularly relating to pulse jet speed, Dick sells these products under the PCPJ (Pacific Coast Pulse Jets) brand name. The supply efforts that have been put in place by Dick have been hugely supportive of CL speed both in the UK and North America, however getting the word out about this availability is always a challenge.

The same situation exists in RC pylon racing, although that event probably sits one layer above control line speed in terms of availability, to address the supply situation within RC pylon racing Barrie Lever setup an online shopping site for these parts and appropriately enough called it Pylon Line.

So with the above in mind it was a logical extension to list the PCPJ product range on the Pylon Line. sales website, customers can immediately see if the item they want to purchase is in stock and the website will not sell out of stock items. Shipping is set to recognise the customers global location and charge shipping accordingly.

Never before has it been possible to buy online such an extensive range of control line speed parts, we are even talking down to the level of individual fuel metering jets ordered by size.

About Barrie Lever

I am a committed competition modeller, flying RC pylon since 1978 and additionally control line since 2017, although I had held a latent interest in CL speed for decades. I like to make as much of my competition models myself as is possible, this often involves teaming up with other like minded competitors to share the workload.
